Theme: Glorious Waterfalls of Karnataka

Waterfalls always reminds us of freshness, force, flow, beauty and life. People are drawn towards Waterfalls for recreation and adventure. Waterfalls represent nature in motion. Waterfalls had remained the most sought after and challenging among the landscape subjects. Most of the waterfalls have varying degrees of difficulties in getting to the right spot to make that dream picture. They are seasonal and are not uniform throughout the year. They present their best appearance even for a briefer time during the year. These challenges have continued to attract photographers towards the waterfalls. Photographers around the world have seen and represented waterfalls in many avatars:

  • As a poetry in motion representing its flow over the rock surfaces.
  • As a force of nature showing its might
  • As a jewel in velvet standing out amidst the enormous nature around it
  • As Tall or Wide
  • As a center of human and/or animal activity, connecting life
  • As a conduit connecting sky and earth
  • As a place of worship

In all their forms Waterfalls are beautiful to look at. They are alive and stand out from anything around them. Use your imagination and start seeing the falls as a subject of beauty, as a destination that people would desire to travel to. Present your unique perspectives of the Karnataka Waterfalls and walk away with awards.
